Families come in all shapes and sizes;
multi-generational families, single parent families, blended families, adoptive families, families with 2 moms, families with 2 dads, foster families.
Particular challenges face each and every one.
But what all families share, is the desire to live better and more lovingly together.
Sometimes though we get so focused on the tough stuff that we forget the good stuff.
Every family has a special gift that they bring to the world.
Some families have music.
That was my father's family gift.
Some families grow beautiful gardens.
My mother's family had a vegetable garden that was a riot of colour and a treasure trove of goodness.
My daughters are growing up with music AND planting vegetables.
What are the family gifts you bring from your family of origin?
What are the family gifts with which you raise your children?
I would love to hear about them!
