Be right here,right now

It struck me once again today how much of my life I spend replaying yesterday and rehearsing tomorrow.
I cannot change yesterday.
I cannot control tomorrow.
I can only do what I am doing right now.
I can do it well if I pay attention.
But if I am in yesterday or tomorrow I can't even do that.
When I am right here, right now I can relax.
When I am in yesterday or tomorrow, I cannot.
When I am right here, right now I can really enjoy this moment.
So wherever you are in the world today, dear reader,
Leave yesterday and tomorrow alone,
in favour of today.
Be right where you are, right now.
Feel it, savour it, enjoy it!
And when you are done let me know how you felt....

I can't honestly say I have mastered this practise either Marie but when I even try....my life gets a whole lot better. I think what helps me a lot is being in a group where we are all aiming for this.
I am also sharing what I have learned with the Work/Life Balance Group which challenges me to "walk the talk."
