Prior was aged 28, born c 1836 and Arrinda aged 24, born c1840. Prior was described in his marriage certificate as Black, son of a Black mother and a Black father. Arrinda was described as half White, her mother as three quarters White and her father as a quarter White.
Their witnesses were N S Hitchcock, Co. A, 70th, US Colored Troops & Phineas Mixer, Ordained Minister.
