In the course of another search, I found Mrs. Eugenia Brennan of Jamaica in New Jersey, US in the 1930 Census. She was working as a cook in the household of Don L (Occupation Broker) and Edith Moore. She is recorded as having married at age 21, c1909. Though she had never attended school Eugenia could read and write. Eugenia's parents were both born in Jamaica. Her immigration year was recorded as 1919.
Also employed in the household was Isolene Simpson, single aged 25 (born c1905) in Jamaica. Isolene is recorded as having immigrated in 1927. Neither Eugenia nor Isolene had become citizens.

She gave her final destination as the home of her cousin Lily Williams of 22 Wildwood Terrace, Glenridge, New Jersey. Her place of birth was Clarendon, Jamaica and her occupation was dressmaker.

Eugenia made several trips back to Jamaica. The first I found was in 1928. She travelled under Permit number 325300, application number 327147 dated Nov. 23 1927. Her last permanent residence was Essex Fells, NJ. Her employer was Mrs. D L Moore of 14 Rensselaer Rd., Essex Fells, NJ. Eugenia stated that she intended to remain in the US permanently.
Eugenia/e Brennan travelled again in 1931 under Permit RP648072 issued in Washington on Sept 11 1930. She gave her last permanent residence as New York. Her relative or friend in her country of origin was Mrs. F Abrahams. Eugenie said that she was returning to her daughter Mrs. MacNamee, 308 West 111th St., New York.
In 1934 Eugenie travelled to Jamaica again. On the second page of the Passenger Record which I was unable to scan, Eugenie named her father as John Hogarth of Clarendon, Jamaica and her daughter as Ina McAmee of 76 113th St. New York. Genealogy gold! On a personal note, Eugenie was wearing glasses by then.

On June 24th 1906, Violet Eadney Brennan was born to Frederick Brennan & Egena Hogarth.
Ethel Eugenie Brennan died Feb 23 1974 at home in Mary Brown's Corner, St. Andrews, Jamaica in the home of her husband Frederick.
