Luke was the son of Owen Brennan and Ann Hayden. (acc. to the marriage register) 
There is 1 return for an Owen Brennan of the townland of Kilteevan, Civil Parish of Kilteevan in 1857 and 2 returns for Owen Brennan, Clooncraff, Civil Parish Kilteevan, Griffiths Valuation 1857. I wonder if we are related.
 A search of rootsireland yielded a marriage for James Brennan, Clooncraff, father Owen (Eugene) Brennan and mother Anne Hayden Feb. 6 1879. (James' spouse Brigid Tiernan) 
​The Civil Registration record provided the townland name of Clooncraff. The Church Record provided me with the mother's name Anne Hayden. How exciting to have found a sibling for Luke Brennan of Attleboro and the townland of his birth!

He arrived in the U.S. c1872. There is a New York Passenger List for a Luke Brennan arrival New York April 18, 1872 on the ship Nevada.
He married Barbara McGowan, daughter of Daniel and Roseana McGowan Sept. 11. 1884 in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, North Attleborough. The priest who officiated at their marriage was Fr. Bernard Boylan. The church was dedicated in 1859. The first Catholic immigrants to the parish arrived in 1826.

Luke and Barbara had 4 children according to the 1900 Federal Census and were living at 25 Church St. North Attleborough.

In 1900, Luke was employed as a Press Hand in a fraternity ring jewelers shop and had arrived in the U.S. in 1872. However Luke was still not a  naturalised citizen.
 
Luke Brennan died in 1919 and is buried at Old St. Mary's Cemetary North Attleboro, Bristol County, Mass.
